Brief Encounters does not advise using the Facebook donate feature due to a history of long delays in receiving funds. By using PayPal, donations are received immediately and can be used where they are needed in a timely manner. All proceeds benefit the work of Brief Encounters.

Opening Ceremony will include words by Pat Schwiebert and Brief Encounters parents. You will be invited to say the name of your baby(ies) if you wish. The bell will be rung at the Peace House for each baby as well as a candle lit in their honor. (You need not join in the opening ceremony in order to participate.)

You are then invited to walk/run/roll the length of your choice during the course the day, or even the next if you wish. We are setting a goal of 365 miles as we remember our children every day of the year. We hope you will post pictures of your journey in the Brief Encounters Facebook group and log your miles. Though we must be physically apart, we can be together in our goal to support our group!

Noah's Quest was organized by Brief Encounters parents after the death of their son, Noah, in 2005. As a non-profit, we rely on donations in order to do our meaningful work. We would greatly appreciate you asking your friends and loved ones to donate as they are able to your cause. Even if you are doing laps around your living room, friends and family can pledge in support! Share your campaign via social media or other outlets! Invite them to join you via Zoom or Facetime!

Please note that this is an event sometimes attended by siblings of our babies so children may be present in the Zoom Opening Ceremony.
